From the woodsy scent that fills your home to the time spent with family picking out just the right one, there's just no substitute for a fresh Christmas tree. This weekend, most local U-cut farms are open, and many offer something festive to enjoy while you take your pick. Visit with Santa at Carnation Tree Farm or take free family photos in decorated cabins at Wintergreen Tree Farm in Snohomish. Enjoy free cocoa and candy canes while you feed carrots to horses at Twin Lakes Tree Farm in Arlington, or stroll through the Christmas gift and ornament shop at Seven Springs Tree Farm in Granite Falls.
