Driver arrested in Walmart lot accident

COVINGTON -- King County authorities say a 71-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault after a couple was hit by an SUV in the parking lot of a Walmart.
Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s office said investigators suspect alcohol was involved.
The Seattle Times reported that the man was driving an SUV in the parking lot of the Covington Wal-Mart on Thursday night when it was crowded with shoppers.
Witnesses said a 45-year-old woman from the Covington area and her boyfriend, a man in his 40s, were walking into the Wal-Mart when they were hit.
KOMO-TV reported that medics rushed the woman and her boyfriend to Harborview Medical Center. The woman suffered injuries to her pelvis and head, and the man sustained head injuries.
