Federal budget

Don't raise taxes on benefactors

I have been very fortunate to have been in all 50 unique and wonderful states in the USA. Every state I visited I saw libraries, hospitals, parks, colleges and universities that were built by benefactors such as the Mellons, Carnegies, Rockefellers, Kennedys, Gates, etc. All have been successful families and donated much of their wealth to our cities and states. Andrew Carnegie said: "Surplus wealth is a sacred trust which its possessor is bound to administer in his lifetime for the good of the community."
Why should we now take their success and give it to the federal government? Will the government now build our hospitals, parks, colleges and universities or will the money be given to support our bloated, bureaucratic government. Let's leave it the way it is so our wealthy will continue to share their success with us in our local towns. Tweaking the loopholes in the tax codes would be OK. But don't raise the taxes on the wealthy.
