Their reign at Cascade spans the five decades of Bruin Pride, from Jeff Cushman and Lou Stevenson of the first days on the new Cascade campus in the early ‘60’s to the mid 2000’s for the six state championships of Whitney Hooks.
“The School of Pride” will honor these Cascade coaching and athletic legends during a ceremony between the Cascade versus Everett boys and girls varsity basketball games on Friday, November 30th, 2012 at the Reg Scodeller Gymnasium, Cascade High School. The girls basketball game will tip-off at 5:30pm followed by the hall of fame induction ceremony at approximately 7:00pm between the contests. The boys game will tip-off at 8:00pm.
This year’s honorees were nominated by the community and selected by the Hall of Fame Committee whose members include former and current coaches, administrators, teachers, and students. Those selected for the Coaches Hall of Fame needed to demonstrate a continued commitment and promotion of the values and philosophy of sportsmanship including fairness, dedication, perseverance, winning without boasting and losing without excuse.
