Associated Press
SEATTLE -- A woman riding a bicycle was hit by a dump truck and dragged at a downtown Seattle intersection.
Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore said the 25-year-old woman was wearing a helmet and apparently escaped serious injuries. Medics took her to Harborview Medical Center.
The driver remained at the scene for police.
Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg said the woman is in satisfactory condition.
The Thursday morning accident was similar to a Nov. 13 accident in Seattle that sent a 50-year-old bicyclist to the hospital with critical injuries. Both were collisions with dump truck trailers. The truck driver in the Nov. 13 accident left, possibly unaware of the accident, and was never located.
In another dump truck accident on Oct. 30, an 88-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed at a Seattle intersection.
