Driver sought in hit-and-run of 2 teens surrenders

SEATTLE -- Seattle police say a woman sought in a hit-run crash that injured two teenage girls outside a West Seattle high school has turned herself in.
KOMO-TV reported that Amy Lynn O'Brien, 37, surrendered late Thursday afternoon. She was interviewed by detectives and then booked into the King County Jail for investigation of felony assault.
Witnesses said two girls were walking near Chief Sealth High School on Wednesday morning when a dog ran up and jumped on one of them so she pushed it away. Witnesses said the dog's owner became enraged and intentionally drove her car into the girls.
A 17-year-old was treated and released at Harborview Medical Center. An 18-year-old was more seriously hurt but is expected to make a full recovery.
