GRANITE FALLS -- A manhunt ensued near Granite Falls on Wednesday night after a felony warrant suspect fled during a traffic stop.

The commotion started about 5 p.m. in the Lochsloy area, between Granite Falls and Lake Stevens, Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

Deputies were attempting to pull over a silver 2005 Hyundai. They believed the driver had two felony warrants.

The man drove off. There was a brief pursuit before the man ditched the car and ran away near the 6400 block of Highway 92, Ireton said.

The man remained at large Thursday, but deputies believe they know who he is.
