Huskies roll in NCAA volleyball tourney opener

SEATTLE -- Cassie Strickland and Monroe High alum Kylin Munoz each had seven kills as the University of Washington swept Central Arkansas on Friday night at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in the opening round of the NCAA volleyball tournament.

The 13th-seeded Huskies (24-6) beat the Sugar Bears 25-13, 25-17 and 25-18 and next face Hawaii tonight at 7. Hawaii (27-2) swept Santa Clara 25-20, 25-13, 25-19.
