“A Forever Christmas” by Marie Ferrarella; Harlequin, paperback $4.99
Perhaps it’s a bit overdone, maybe a little trite and probably a lot outlandish, but there’s just something about a rugged, good-hearted man rescuing a woman suffering from amnesia.
Talented author Maria Ferrarella uses the often-employed plot to bring a frightened heroine running from danger into the hands of a small-town deputy.
When Gabe rescues a woman from a car accident, she doesn’t remember much, even her name. So Gabe dubs her Angel, for obvious reasons. The two fight their intense attraction to each other.
Then, of course, her past catches up to her.
The story is well-written, with sympathetic characters and a fun setting. A couple of familiar “Forever” characters will make it an even more fun read for those following the series.
