The body was spotted about 5:15 p.m. along Dubuque Road, south of Lake Stevens, Snohomish County sheriffs spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
Detectives as of late Tuesday night had identified a vehicle believed to be involved, Ireton said. They also interviewed someone in connection with the case.
No additional details were available about the victim.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiners Office is expected to determine how she died.
