Yes, chef

Yes, chef

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay dropped by Everett this week to shoot a segment at a local restaurant for his reality TV show, "Kitchen Nightmares." On the show, Ramsay attempts to turn around struggling restaurants -- and addresses anyone who gets in his way as a "stupid #!#!ing donkey," and worse.

Real-world bosses who try Chef Ramsay's approach often wind up in a reality show of their own, called "Hostile Workplace Lawsuit Nightmares."

Jilted by Jay: Snohomish County isn't feeling the love from Jay Inslee these days, as the governor-elect did not select a single person from the state's third most populous county for his transition team.

Local leaders are so irate, they're calling Inslee the names Gordon Ramsay reserves for restaurant cooks who serve raw chicken.

Buzzkill: Possession of one ounce or less of marijuana becomes legal in Washington Thursday, but weed remains illegal under federal law, warns the U.S. attorney in Seattle.

To reflect the uncertainty, perhaps the state motto should be changed from "Alki" (bye and bye) to "Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em."
