Associated Press
KENNEWICK -- A Kennewick druggist who stole pain medications and then sold empty boxes has been sentence in federal court to four years in prison.
Kenyon Neal Lyle pleaded guilty in August to tampering with consumer products and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
The Tri-City Herald reported that the investigation began in 2009 after a pharmacy customer discovered two boxes of painkilling patches were empty. When the customer went back to complain, the pharmacy manager accused her of lying to get more drugs.
