Prep wrestling: Marysville Getchell Double Dual

MARYSVILLE-- Meadowdale swept host school Marysville Getchell 55-29 and Monroe 46-27 at the Marysville Getchell Double Dual meet held on Thursday night.

Mavericks wrestler Morgan Smith beat Cody Stone in a matchup of two of the area's best.

"We wanted to see how Morgan Smith would do against our kids tonight," said Chargers head coach Todd Freeman. "We put Cody Stone against him, and he didn't give up. It was a good measuring stick for us."

Smith would go one to major decision Stone 15-2 in that match, while pinnng Max Surdyk of Monroe in 1:54 in the earlier in the evening.

In the other matches from the double dual the Bearcats would defeat Lynnwood 38-33, and Marysville Getchell would defeat Lynnwood as well by a score of 48-36.
