See 'Elf' and 'Grinch' at Snohomish bookstore

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Uppercase Book Shop in downtown Snohomish is showing free holiday movies for the whole family Saturday night and Dec. 15.

Just bring some nonperishable food items for the Snohomish Food Bank at 7 p.m. for both shows. It's called Holiday Movie Night and Pajama Party, but PJs are optional.

Saturday's film is "Elf" (2003, rated PG) starring Will Ferrell as the overgrown Santa's helper who's banished from the elf ranks and tries to fit in with a family.

The holiday chestnut, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000, PG), is on the bill Dec. 15. Join the kids in booing the grumpy green guy who has it in for the Whoville revellers.

Refreshments will be for sale during the movies with proceeds going to the food bank.

Uppercase Book Shop is at 1118 First St., Snohomish. Call 360-568-5987 for more information.
