If you were a twee: Among television's best bets this week is the annual celebrity fawn-a-thon, "Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012," Wednesday on ABC. On her list are New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the author of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Ben Affleck and the boy band One Direction. But Ba-Ba, as always, is mum about No. 1.
If Walters goes ahead and names Honey Boo Boo as the most fascinating person of 2012, consider it proof that the Mayans are correct and the world is ending Dec. 21.
Show Mommy again: A few parents are likely weighing the pros and cons of whether to buy a tablet computer, such as an iPad, for their children as a holiday gift. There are plenty of variables to consider, including the age of the child and his or her level of responsibility.

Quote file: Comments by former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney topped a Yale University librarian's seventh-annual list of the year's most notable quotations.
Call The Buzz a skeptic, but we just don't think it's likely that, 25 years from now, students will be reciting Romney's "binders full of women" remark for their speech class project.
