Active Duty

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jason W. Land graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Land is the son of Larry Land of Oak Harbor. He earned an associate degree in 2012 from Skagit Valley College, Oak Harbor.

Patrol Squadron 46 “Grey Knights” and their P-3C Orion aircraft have arrived home to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station from a six-month 5th Fleet deployment. During the squadron’s deployment, it supported various mission in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance over-watch missions and supporting surface vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
