BELLINGHAM -- Police have arrested a 28-year-old man suspected of several crimes in Bellingham, including a carjacking.
The Bellingham Herald reported James Craver was caught just before noon Wednesday by a team of police and Whatcom County sheriff's deputies.
Police said he broke into a home in Everson, assaulted his former girlfriend with a knife, attempted to break into cars in Bellingham and then threatened to shoot a woman if she didn't help him escape.
She drove him around for a couple of hours Tuesday. He got out about 7 p.m., leaving her unharmed.
