Storm could bring strong winds, heavy mountain snow

Forecasters warn that strong winds, heavy mountain snow and the possibility of inland flooding could be coming Sunday and Monday.
Winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, could develop Sunday night or Monday morning in Everett and areas to the south, the National Weather Service in Seattle said. Winds strong enough to topple trees and cause power outages are possible north of Everett.
Up to 3 feet of snow was expected to start Sunday afternoon in the Cascade Range and the Olympics, the Weather Service reported. Spells of blizzard-like conditions with 40 mph winds are possible in the mountain passes Monday.
Waves of 8 to 11 feet through the Strait of Juan De Fuca may batter the western shorelines of Whidbey Island.
