Celebrate pets
Christmas Pet Palooza is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in downtown Snohomish at the Second Street Cabin, 1010 Second St., Snohomish.
A petting zoo will be set up. A pet parade is planned down Avenue B then onto First Street and then back up Avenue A.
People can get pictures of their pets with Santa. People also are asked to bring a donation of dog or cat food for the Snohomish Food Bank. Cash also is accepted.

Lighthouse open: Admiralty Head Lighthouse at Fort Casey is open weekends during the holiday season.
People who visit can learn about the history of the lighthouse and visit the gift shop.
Christmas lights decorate the new lantern house tower and the Christmas tree is decorated with reproduction 1920s ornaments and electrified candles.
Julie Pigott, WSU Extension lighthouse coordinator, said holiday hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., every weekend in December.

Free health clinic: Safe Harbor Free Clinic, which offers medical services to uninsured people, has added a clinic two Saturday mornings each month.
Safe Harbor's walk-in clinic is open each Friday evening at the Skagit Regional Clinic in downtown Stanwood. For now, the Saturday clinic is by appointment only.
