Robinson right choice for council

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
The Everett City Council has an unenviable task selecting a replacement for retiring member Arlan Hatloe. There are six good candidates. Our choice is June Robinson. She was one of several people who sought the council position that opened with the tragic loss of Drew Nielson. Voters in the primary election chose two finalists, one of whom was June Robertson. She received 47 percent of the vote in the general election. Replacing Mr. Hatloe will not be done by a vote of the citizens of Everett, but by members of the city council. By selecting June Robinson, the council will honor the many voters who thought highly enough of her qualifications to select her to be a participant in the general election.
