SacroProfano plays baroque holiday music at 7 tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 19th St. SW, Lynnwood.

If your tastes in holiday music tend to gravitate more toward Bach than Bing, you'll want to listen to the Northwest's newest period instrument ensemble performing in Lynnwood Friday night.
SacroProfano will perform baroque instrumental and vocal music, featuring works by Hasse, Bach, Corrette and Balbastre.
SacroProfano will perform beginning at 7 Friday night at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 19th St. SW, Lynnwood.
Tickets are not required; the suggested donation is $15.
Though baroque-era instrumental works and holiday favorites from that period will be played, the audience will also hear traditional hymns and carols.
SacroProfano is made up of Kristin Olson on baroque oboe, Nate Helgeson on baroque bassoon, John Lenti on the stringed theorbo and soprano Laura Bohn.
Joining SacroProfano will be Thomas Carroll on the chalumeau, Derek Tam on harpsichord, and Norma Aamodt-Nelson on organ. The chalumeau is a type of early clarinet.
Go to www.sacroprofano.org for more information about the ensemble.
