FREELAND — A head-on collision near Freeland on Friday night sent five people to the hospital.
The crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m., near where Highway 525 crosses Woodard Avenue, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.

A 1996 Nissan Pathfinder was southbound on the highway when it apparently crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2001 Toyota Corolla.

The Toyota’s driver, a Seattle man, 36, was flown via helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was listed Saturday in satisfactory condition.
