Demonize industry at our own risk

A number of recent letters to the editor show how the media has convinced many people that "we are victims of corporate greed." We need to kill as many industries as possible so that we can freeze to death in the dark with no jobs.
Dangerous coal dust from coal train cars is cited as a reason to completely shut down exportation of coal to China. Nobody has apparently noticed that the railroads have been shipping materials a lot more dangerous than coal for a long time. I guess those hazardous materials are not the cause de jour. Another fact ignored by these crybaby letter writers is that, except for the ecofreaks, we would be burning this American coal in American power plants to produce American energy.
