Members of Everett Lions clubs plan to collect used eyeglasses at two Silvertips hockey games as part of the Lions Score for Sight campaign.
The Lions each year send thousands of pairs of used eyeglasses to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Lacey for sorting and grading. The glasses are given to people around the world who can't afford them.
Donations of the used eyeglasses and money for the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Snohomish County are set to be collected at the Saturday and Jan. 4 games at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave.
For more information, call Art Ruben at 425-387-9256.

Clean and sober dance: A New Year's Eve clean-and-sober dance is set for 7:30 p.m. to midnight Monday at the Lake Goodwin Community Club, 17323 42nd Ave. NW.
Suggested donation is $10, which includes snacks and beverages.
