Four ways to get new year off to a rocking start

Historic Everett Theatre: Doors open at 8 p.m. for the Ultra Laugh Lounge, featuring four comedians: Susan Rice, Vince Valenzuela, Joe Vespaziani and Duane Goad.

There will be music by Bob Strickland &The Jazz Couriers and hors d’oeuvres by Barry’s Catering. Complimentary champagne adds to the midnight toast.

Show time is 9 p.m. Monday at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett.

General admission tickets are $50, which includes hors d’oeuvres and champagne. Tickets are available at the box office, by calling 425-258-6766 or online at www.etix.com.

There are a limited number of preferred-seating tickets for $75, which include hors d’oeuvres, complimentary champagne at midnight and half-price drinks for the evening. These tickets are available only through the box office.

New Year’s Eve Gala 2013: Rock out and dance away 2012 with live music by AM/FM, a classic rock L.A. cover band that plays Boston to Foreigner, Cheap Trick to Aerosmith to Wings. Host is KISM-FM’s Brad Cash and the event includes buffet dinner, no-host bar, keepsake gift, party favors and countdown to midnight.

The party begins at 8 p.m. Monday, Skagit Valley Casino Resort, 5984 N Darrk Lane, Bow. Tickets are $95 to $85. Go to www.theskagit.com.

New Year’s Eve Costume Contest: Those guests with the best costumes stand to win $700 for first place, $500 for second place and $300 for third place; 7 p.m. Monday at Tulalip Casino Resort, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip.

New Year’s Party: Live music with Midlife Crisis &The Alimony Horns, along with party favors and a seafood buffet; starts at 9 p.m. Monday at Angel of the Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane, Arlington.
