Well, I’ll be

Will miracles never cease? Hours before the stroke of midnight it appeared the White House and Republicans in Congress had reached a tentative deal to avoid automatic tax increases and spending cuts dubbed the "fiscal cliff," although votes to seal the deal weren't likely until later in the week.

But The Buzz has learned to have faith that the nation's leaders will provide; there's still plenty of time for them to muck it up and supply us fodder for ridicule.

Say it with flowers: For the first time, the Defense Department has sponsored a float for Pasadena's Tournament of Roses parade. The float features a replica of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Congress also tried to assemble a float before Monday's parade but couldn't agree on a theme, split between "Democrats Are the Enemy" and "It's Not Our Fault; Blame the Republicans."

The good, the bad and the ugly: There's good TV and bad TV. And then there's train wreck TV, television so bad it's hard to tear your eyes away. In the final category, you can include the stars of their own so-called "reality" shows, Donald Trump and Honey Boo Boo.

Just as it has faith in Congress, The Buzz is certain that The Donald already is in talks with Honey Boo Boo to book her on the next season of "Celebrity Apprentice: Kindergarten Edition."
