Best prep performances for the week Dec. 24-29

Dreu Vader
Glacier Peak | Boys basketball
The Grizzlies guard scored 17 points in a win over Coeur d'Alene as GP won the Coeur d'Alene Inn-Vitational over the weekend. Vader also scored 13 points in a win over Post Falls (Idaho) and 15 in a win over Chief Sealth to earn all-tournament team honors.
Counting the votes: Oak Harbor's Drew Washington won the fan vote. Vader received votes from Herald prep editor Aaron Swaney and Herald prep writer David Krueger. Jackson's Dan Kingma received votes from Herald writers Aaron Lommers and Rich Myhre. Vader won based on finishing higher in the fan voting.

Meadowdale | Girls basketball
The Mavericks wing averaged more than 10 points per game to earn Most Valuable Player honors as Meadowdale went 3-0 to win the Surf 'N Slam Tournament in San Diego this past week.
Counting the votes: Glacier Peak's Nicole Fausey won the fan vote. Swaney and Krueger voted for Reuble. Lommers voted for Callie Harwood and Myhre voted for Beth Carlson.

Brandon Johnson
Lake Stevens | Wrestling
The Vikings 285-pounder won all six of his matches at The Clash XI to help Lake Stevens go 3-3 at the prestigious wrestling tournament in Rochester, Minn.
