SNOHOMISH -- Standout performances from Moni Jackson and Sidney Eck helped an energetic Edmonds-Woodway team to a 51-38 victory over Snohomish.
"Moni Jackson played a great game for them," said Snohomish head coach Ken Roberts.
Jackson had nine points, seven of which came from the free-throw line, but her defense had an even bigger impact.
"(Jackson's) defensive pressure out front caused us problems. She really took care of the ball. That was the biggest difference in the game," said Roberts.
Another factor was Eck, who Roberts said played a great game inside.
Also important was the Warrior's ability stop Snohomish's guards. "Our guards had five points total. They reall shut down our guard play," said Roberts.
On offense, Edmonds-Woodway put together a balanced attack. Seven of the eight Warriors who played scored. "We had a tough time stopping them tonight," said Roberts.
"I thought they had more energy than we did."
