MONROE -- Dan Kingma hit a long 3-pointer with less than 30 seconds left in the game to lift Jackson to a one-point victory over Monroe in a Wesco 4A crossover contest. Kingma finished with 17 points and Brian Zehr had 22 for the Timberwolves. Brandon Gundersen led the Bearcats with 14 points and Nicota Stevenson added 10. Jackson played without leading scorer Jason Todd, who suffered a deep thigh bruise against Lake Stevens on Wednesday. According to T-wolves head coach Steve Johnson, Todd's status is day-to-day and the junior guard is uncertain for Tuesday's game against Snohomish.
