Speakers from the Snohomish Sierra Club will relate stories about wolves and the efforts of Wolf Haven International in Tenino, a nonprofit refuge that rescues and rehabilitates wolves. The family-friendly lecture will talk about wolves in the wild and the varieties that live in Washington state.
The talk is free but reservations are needed at rei.com/alderwood, or call 425-640-6200. REI is at 3000 184th St. SW, Lynnwood.
For information about wolves and some cool videos, go to the Wolf Haven website at wolfhaven.org.
You can tour Wolf Haven on Saturdays and Sundays in January and March. Tours start every hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservations are necessary. The refuge is closed in February and returns to a six-day-a-week schedule beginning April 1.
