YAKIMA — A plea deal Wednesday will likely result in a 15-year sentence for a 22-year-old man in a Halloween party shooting in Yakima that killed one person and injured two.
The Yakima County prosecutor’s office says Marcos Antonio Rojas pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault. He was originally charged with murder.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that the 2009 shooting was gang-related and many witnesses refused to cooperate with police.
