Sounder train

Mudslides are totally predictable

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
I was recently reading an article in another publication regarding Sounder Train services "setting all the wrong records" in regard to its service. Once again, nature has foiled our mass transportation efforts and the masses stand dumbfounded as to why.
If you go back to the news of 1913 (100 years ago) you will see that rail service was disrupted even then by landslides along the Puget Sound. For the past 100 years we have had this problem, sunk millions of dollars in upgrades, new lines, taxes, etc., and we still have not figured out that when you cut into a cliff to build anything it will result in a mudslide. Big fat duh for our transportation leaders in Olympia for continuing to make the same mistakes our forefathers made. I will put my application in to do a better job for half the pay.
