Thanks to community for caring for kids

In the short time I have lived in Arlington I have always been impressed at what a sense of community there is, helping one's neighbor. This Christmas season was no exception. I watched the Arlington Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and Fire Department all spring into action and quickly put together boxes of food for a group of Arlington students when it was recognized that these youth were going to be very short of food during the school's holiday closure. The food fed their bodies, and I have to believe their spirits as well, knowing that their community cares about them. Thank you to those organizations. It makes me proud to live here!
