Lakewood teens send ‘snowflakes’ to Sandy Hook
Lakewood High School math students cut out more than 1,000 snowflakes that were then sent to Newton, Conn., to decorate Sandy Hook Elementary School’s new home in what had been a vacant middle school.
An online call went out earlier suggesting the snowflake activity as a way to show support for the Sandy Hook students and staff after the shootings there Dec. 14 that killed 26 people.
