MARYSVILLE -- A 13-hour SWAT operation in Marysville on Monday ended with the suspect's arrest.

No one was hurt, including a 4-year-old girl who was inside the apartment with the man, who refused to step outside and speak with police.

The incident started with a 911 call about a domestic-violence assault about 4 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Cedar Avenue, police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.

The victim wasn't seriously injured, he said. She managed to escape and call 911.

The man suspected of attacking her locked himself in the bedroom and refused to leave the apartment, Lamoureux said. About 4:45 p.m., police forced their way into the bedroom and took him into custody. The toddler was found safe.

The man, 32, was expected to be booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.
