EVERETT -- Learn how the city intends to plan for a growing population, job opportunities and urban services in the coming years by attending a Planning Commission workshop scheduled for Tuesday night.
The event is to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Planning Hearing Room on the 8th floor of the Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore Ave.
The workshop is designed as a kick-off presentation and overview of key issues of housing, transportation and urban development. It's part of the city's 2015 Growth Management Act comprehensive plan update.
Because of Everett's designation as Snohomish County's metropolitan city, it must identify areas where more intensive land uses can help accommodate population and job growth.
More info: contact Dave Koenig or Jim Hanson from the city planning department at 425-257-8731.
