Washington's new governor, Jay Inslee, (right) in his younger basketball playing days.

Democrat Jay Inslee loves his basketball so much he's installed a hoop at the mansion and will hold one of his first meetings as governor on the court this afternoon. That's when he'll host a private pick-up game with fellow hoopaholics.

Inslee paid for the hoop and employees of the state Department of Enterprise Services put it in place on the garage, according to an Inslee spokeswoman.

Inslee. who reportedly pressed to get the work finished by today, will be sworn in at 10:30 a.m. then deliversr his inaugural address.

He'll hit the court a short time later. After he works up a sweat there, he'll head to the Capitol for tonight's inaugural ball festivities.
