MARYSVILLE — No major property damage was reported after a water main broke in Marysville on Tuesday evening.
Crews were summoned just after 10 p.m. Tuesday for reports of ice on the road at the intersection of 67th Avenue NE and 88th Place NE, city operations manager Karen Latimer said.
Crews quickly realized a water main had broken, and water was flowing onto the road and freezing, she said. They repaired a break in a 12-inch cast-iron pipe installed in the 1970s. Water was shut off to about 50 homes east of the intersection until early Wednesday morning.
No injuries were reported.
