Joining the law firm of Schwartz, Wood and Otero in Santa Barbara, Calif., was Charles Kent, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Kent of 1110 Hoyt Ave. He spent eight years of college at the University of Washington and the University of Hawaii.

Diane Fintz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Fintz of Lake Stevens, made the highest score of the 41 seniors girls at lake Stevens High taking the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow test, and was eligible for the state contest which offered a scholarship award of $1,500. Dorothy Jarrett administered the test.
