Time to enforce cell phone law
All one has to do is drive on the Bothell-Everett Highway, 128th Street or 164th Street Southwest anytime during the day and see the numerous people who are disregarding the texting law. There has been such a proliferation of drivers who are blatantly ignoring the law that it is obvious they do not fear getting ticketed. Certainly both the attention and judgment of drivers who are texting while driving is significantly impaired, putting other citizens at risk.
With this lack of emphasis, one can only assume that law enforcement does not put a priority on enforcing the cell phone/texting law. It is time for the law enforcement community to emphasize this important law and vigorously enforce it.
