VANCOUVER, B.C. -- It was a perfect weekend for the Everett Silvertips.

And Joshua Winquist had a lot to do with it.

Winquist recorded his first career hat trick, and the Tips swept their three-in-three weekend by shutting out the Vancouver Giants 4-0 Sunday afternoon.

Winquist was in on all four Everett goals, tallying three goals and an assist, as Everett (20-26-0-2) won its third game in three nights. Winquist finished with eight points over the weekend as the Tips knocked off Seattle, Lethbridge and Vancouver in succession.

Winquist leads the Tips with 21 goals this season.

Manraj Hayer, playing in his hometown on his birthday, added three assists for the Tips. Mirco Mueller also scored for Everett, which is 5-0 against Vancouver this season, while Daniel Cotton stopped all 31 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season.

Payton Lee finished with 18 saves in net for Vancouver (12-36-0-0), which has the league's worst record.

Everett had the better scoring chances in the first period, and the Tips took a 1-0 lead 12 minutes, 17 seconds into the game. Landon Oslanski's drive from the point was blocked in front, but Winquist put away the rebound. Everett could have scored more, but Brayden Low put a shot off the post and Cole MacDonald put a redirect attempt wide with net to work with.

The Tips then doubled their lead on the power play 9:04 into the second period when Mueller's slap shot from the point found its way through traffic and into the top corner, making it 2-0.

Everett then put the game away in the third as Winquist completed his hat trick. Winquist made it 3-0 just 53 seconds in, scoring from the slot following a centering feed from Tyler Sandhu. Then Winquist got his third on the power play at 7:20, putting a shot into the top of the net after a feed from Hayer.
