Columbine had an armed guard

The NRA and some gun fanatics (not sensible gun owners) believe the solution to recent gun violence is to arm more people, especially in schools. Really? Did any of them take two seconds to think that line of reasoning through before they blindly regurgitated it into the public domain?
Most mentally disturbed people intent on killing will not be deterred one bit if society arms schools (or other places). Crazy people aren't acting logically -- they're reacting emotionally. They will simply add one more thing on their to-do-list of terror and then bring to their intended targets machine guns, assault rifles, full body armor, sticks of dynamite, home-made bombs -- you name it. They will unleash more fire power than whatever they believe they're up against.
And when a mentally ill person plans a new attack, they won't know which schools have concealed guns and which don't. So just to be safe, those intending mass killing will need to be prepared for the worst-case scenario (weapon-wise) and just assume that every school might have an armed response waiting.
The end result will be more massive mass killings, more lives shattered and less safety for the most vulnerable, brought to you courtesy of the NRA and other ignorant fundamentalists. Besides, there were was one armed guard at Columbine High School and one nearby. How did that work out?
