Associated Press
McCLEARY -- Grays Harbor County sheriff's officers say an 8-year-old girl was bitten on the head and legs by a bulldog as she headed to a birthday party in McCleary.
KXRO Radio reported that the unidentified girl was taken to an Olympia hospital for treatment after the attack on Saturday.
Deputies said the girl and a friend were walking to another home and planned to meet a third friend and attend a birthday party. When they arrived at the neighbor's home, a 2-year-old American bulldog managed to get out of a gate and attack the 8-year-old.
Animal control officers are investigating.
