Driver goes through moonroof in Bellingham crash

BELLINGHAM -- A driver was thrown through the moonroof of his SUV and killed in a rollover accident Tuesday morning near Bellingham.
The Washington State Patrol said the 52-year-old Ferndale man was not wearing a seatbelt. His car went off an icy road and rolled at least once before landing in a shallow ditch.
The Bellingham Herald reported that police discovered the driver pinned under the car. He died at the scene.
The moonroof glass was shattered, but no other windows were broken and the doors remained closed.
