Shows epitome of responsibility?

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY  |  COMMENTS
"Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Likewise then, guns don't injure people, either? The irony of this is that gun shows are cast as the gathering place for responsible gun owners who should not have their Second Amendment right infringed upon; yet when you go to a gun show, you must unload your gun. What do the sponsors/hosts know and not tell you? Are the attendants at the show dangerous, irresponsible, or what? Just on Saturday five people were shot at gun shows where just the cream of the crop should be gathering. Some by their own hand, but tragically, others were bystanders. And if guns don't injure or kill people, then it had to be the doings of "responsible gun owners" unpacking, handling and reloading. I have been to gun shows and from what I see, I'm not sure I want all those folks packing heat for my supposed protection. If they keep their weapons home, and I avoid their houses, I am probably pretty safe.
