Prep boys basketball: Mount Vernon 62, Monroe 56

MONROE -- Mount Vernon's Miles Witt had game-high 18 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, as the Bulldogs outlasted Monroe to clinch second place in the 4A North and a district berth. Nicota Stevenson scored 15 points and Brandon Gundersen had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Bearcats.
