Everett: Valentine's Day crafts at library
Make easy crafts and cards to give to friends and family on Valentine's Day. All supplies are provided, just drop in and enjoy the fun, at both Everett library locations. The first will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 7 in the activity room of the Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The second will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 8 in the meeting room of the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way.

Island County: Advisory group seeks to fill vacant position
The Island County Board of Commissioners is looking for applicants to fill a vacant position on the Technical Advisory Committee of the Island Sub-Region's Regional Transportation Planning Organization.
The group meets from 1 to 3 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in Coupeville.

Monroe: State fair board vacancies
Snohomish County's Evergreen State Fair is seeking candidates to fill two unexpired terms on its Fair Advisory Board.
The board's 11 members include one each for the five County Council districts and six at-large members.
One open seat is at-large and the other is in council District 4, which includes the areas of Mill Creek and Silver Firs south to Mountlake Terrace, Brier and Bothell. Both terms expire Dec. 31.
The board helps the fair manager operate the Evergreen State Fair, which runs Aug. 22 through Sept. 2 this year. The board meets the second Tuesday evening of each month.

Stanwood: Country Living Expo
People who didn't meet the early registration deadline can still attend the Country Living Expo and Cattlemen's Winter School, set for 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdayat Stanwood High School.
The event offers classes, vendors and lunch.
Livestock enthusiasts can select a full track of classes on beef, sheep, swine, goats or horses. Other classes include gardening, beekeeping, food preparation and preservation, the business aspects of small-scale farming and the pleasures of country living. Registration is $65.
