The Sno-Isle libraries are gearing up to help kids put a heart on it for Valentine’s Day. They’re offering craft sessions involving stickers and stamps for younger children, making candy “iPods” for tweens and teens, and anti-valentine crafts and parties for the nonbelievers. Most sessions require registration by calling the library or online at www.sno-isle.org.

Darrington

1005 Cascade St.

360-436-1600

Call it a valentine or just a gift for your best bud, school-age children can make friendship bracelets from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 14.

Edmonds

650 Main St.

425-771-1933

It’s Fancy Schmancy Valentines for ages 5 and up from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 12. Fancy schmancy decorations provided.

Lake Stevens

1804 Main St.

425-334-1900

The Antipodean Valentine Party for teens goes from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 8. And what’s “antipodean”? A librarian might tell you to look it up, but we’ll reveal: It means the opposite position. There will be black crafts, unsentimental cookies and a trivia game.

Marysville

6120 Grove St.

360-658-5000

Teens may kiss off Valentine’s Day at an “anti” party from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 9. The library promises a cranky craft session, moody music and spiteful snacks.

Mill Creek

15429 Bothell Everett Highway

425-337-4822

Teens can make candy iPods out of candy boxes from 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 6.

Not in the mood? Attend the Anti-Valentine’s Day Party from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 15. Play board games, make duct tape roses, and decorate and eat un-valentine cupcakes.

Mukilteo

4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

425-493-8202

Teens who revel in the day can create duct tape roses and other V-Day crafts from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14. No hateful hearts here, please.

Snohomish

311 Maple Ave.

360-568-2898

It’s a valentine Crafternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 9 in the children’s area of the library. Younger kids can cut and glue valentines to their heart’s content.

Sultan

319 Main St.

360-793-1695

Kids ages 5 to 12 can create cards with craft paper, stickers and stamps at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Teens can make candy iPods out of candy boxes at 3 p.m. Feb. 12. All supplies are provided.
