On the bottom late in his match against Kamiak's Spencer Mitchell, the Warriors grappler used a Peterson Roll, which consists of a wrestler grabbing an opponent's hand and leg and rolling him to his back, to score a reversal and a near-fall. Vulliet controlled Mitchell on his back for the rest of the match to score a 9-0 major decision and secure the Warriors a one-point win over the Knights and their third league title.
Stanwood | Girls wrestling
The Spartans 130-pound grappler took first place at the Lady Wolf Pack Tournament to lead Stanwood to a fifth-place finish.
Edmonds-Woodway | Boys swimming
The Warriors swimmer won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle and swam the anchor leg of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams to victories as E-W won the Edmonds-Woodway District Meet.
