EDMONDS — Terwedo Financial Services has hired Michael Richardson as a business development coordinator. The Washington State University and Gonzaga University alumnus has three years of professional experience in building new business and managing client relationships. He served in the Washington Army National Guard and received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Patty Johnston-Fewing has been named a loan officer at 1st Security Bank. She has more than two decades of mortgage lending experience and will initially work out of the company’s home lending center in Mountlake Terrace.

LYNNWOOD — Sparling has announced the addition of two electrical engineering project designers for its Lynnwood office. Andrew Botts received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 2009 and has more than eight years of experience in the industry. He is working on the Seattle United Airlines relocation and Seattle-Tacoma Airport laptop power stations. Kan Lee recently received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power concentration from the University of Washington. He is working on the University of Washington Medical Center operating rooms and two building remodel projects for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

EVERETT — Blake Stedman and Jeff Ayers of Coast|Sperry Van Ness’ Commercial Real Estate in Everett were the local agents who arranged the November sale of Perrinville Village in Edmonds. The land and five buildings on Olympic View Drive sold for $1.75 million.

LAKE STEVENS — Snohomish Conservation District Board of Supervisors chairman Mark Craven has won the Wayne Reid Young Tiger Award from the Washington Association of Conservation Districts. He was also recognized as the Northwest area supervisor of the year for 2012. Craven, a specialty crop farmer from Snohomish, co-owns Craven Farms, runs a special-event enterprise and serves on the Snohomish County Agricultural Advisory Board.

LYNNWOOD — Tina Blanton has joined the accounting and business consulting firm of Friends and Harvey Associates in Lynnwood as a senior associate. She has more than 20 years of tax, financial and business experience and is an enrolled agent with a federal license to practice before the IRS.

EVERETT — D.A. Davidson &Co. has named Jeff Decker, senior vice president and financial consultant at the company’s Everett office, to one of the firm’s honors clubs. The Chairman’s Council recognizes top financial consultants for their client-first focus and involves them in the direction and philosophy of the company. Decker’s colleague Daniel Leach has been named senior financial consultant in the Everett office in recognition of the high quality of service to his clients.

LYNNWOOD — Pamela Wanser has joined the Edmonds Community College Foundation as director of development. She has more than 24 years of experience as a development professional, most recently as director of major gifts and development for Ballet Arizona in Phoenix. She served in similar roles at The Phoenix Symphony and the Arizona Theatre Company.

OLYMPIA — Gov.-elect Jay Inslee named Dale Peinecke as Washington state employment security commissioner. Until recently, Peinecke was the CEO of Giddens Industries, an aerospace manufacturing firm in Everett. He served as board chair of Workforce Development Council Snohomish County from 2006 through January 2012, and remained on the board until the end of 2012.

EVERETT — The Everett Public Facilities District, owners of Comcast Arena at Everett, announced the appointment of Bob Bavasi to the EPFD board. He is a partner in Bavasi Sports Partners LLP, a consulting group offering strategic planning in the sports business. Bavasi and his wife, Margaret, are former owners and operators of the Everett AquaSox.

MUKILTEO — Dillon Works! Inc., a custom design and fabrication company, has announced the hiring of Jon Garcia as technical director. Garcia has diverse experience with a variety of methods and materials, both as a designer and a fabricator. Previously he was a technical designer and director working in the theme park industry, special events and theatrical productions.

LYNNWOOD — SOG Specialty Knives and Tools of Lynnwood has named Gerald Heinlen as CEO. He is a consumer products industry veteran whose career includes 25 years driving leading brands in durables and packaged goods categories. Prior to joining SOG, he served as CEO of Yakima Products Inc. and as president and COO of Waterloo Industries.

EVERETT — Peoples Bank has hired a commercial lending team in Everett that consists of Jim Lonneker, Larry Jacobson, Patrick Novack and loan analyst Eric Lee. Under the direction of Lonneker, the new team will facilitate the financing, depository and cash management needs of businesses in the Everett area.

EVERETT — Port of Everett Chief Financial Officer Karen Clements announced her retirement, effective in September. Clements has led the port to 15 consecutive years of clean audits during her tenure. After retirement, she plans to continue her volunteer work on the board of Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, serving as treasurer.

EVERETT — Dan Bagger has joined Everett’s Goldfinch Bros. as business development manager in its residential division for windows. Bagger will be responsible for strengthening Goldfinch’s sales, marketing and business development activities and will focus primarily on architects and builders and create leads for the existing sales team. He has 28 years of experience.

EVERETT — Moss Adams LLP recently announced three promotions for their Everett office. Eric Young has been promoted to the position of assurance senior. has been promoted to the position of tax senior. Jim Thompson has been promoted to the position of assurance manager.

EVERETT — Keller Williams realty office in Everett hired two new agents at the end of 2012. Now with the firm are Emily Hanby and Mary Duke, both new agents to the industry. The agent count at Keller Williams Everett stands at 77.

EDMONDS — Parul Sharma, D.O., has recently received board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in rheumatology. A recent addition to Premier Orthopedic Group in Edmonds, Sharma provides specialized rheumatology care. Sharma’s expertise includes nonsurgical treatment of clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis and connective tissue disorders.

EDMONDS — Landau Associates, a geotechnical, environmental engineering and natural resources consulting firm, has hired new staff members for its Edmonds office. Jeffrey Fellows, P.E., will join the environmental group as a senior associate engineer in February. He has 16 years of environmental engineering, project management and operations experience within the environmental consulting industry. Evelyn Ives is a staff engineer in the environmental group. She has been working on several projects for private industry clients and recently graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor of science in environmental engineering. Devan Brandt is an office technician. He is responsible for supporting the field, laboratory and vehicle operations of the company, as well as maintaining the firm’s field GPS systems. He is a recent graduate of Central Washington University with a bachelor of arts in geology and a minor in environmental studies.
